Honda file

The 1987 XL600V was the first production Transalp and the start of a new kind of 'rally tourer': a fully faired, long-travel dual-purpose bike powered by a liquid-cooled 583 cc V-twin derived from the VT500. Testers liked its low-down torque, weather protection and stable handling, but noted vibration above about 6000 rpm, almost no room for luggage and a heavy feel off-road. It had a single front disc and a rear drum.
